ComboPC - Patient Costing System

ComboPC is a comprehensive patient costing system that provides hospitals with the ability undertake cost/revenue analysis at the patient episode level. This can include, for example, inpatient and outpatient episodes.

ComboPC provides hospital managers and clinicians with the ability to:

• Analyse the cost of resources consumed by patients by component  (nursing, medical, operating theatre, pharmacy, medical supplies, pathology, imaging, and so on);

• Analyse cost data at a variety of levels. Cost data can be analysed by patient diagnosis or procedure, patient classification, cost centre (such as ward or operating theatre), department or specialty. Since ComboPC costs resources consumed by patients by component, the data can be aggregated using a wide variety of selection / reporting parameters

• Benchmark the cost of delivery of services to patient cohorts;

• Monitor profit and loss at the individual patient level or by funding model;

• Undertake ‘what if’ scenario testing. ComboPC provides an extensible modelling capability to enable different scenarios to be tested.
